"Well, this is the only record of my new quartet that i have founded in fall 2005. The recording session was scheduled for 2 days and took place in the Swiss Radio Studio, Zurich. For some reason there was a lot a struggling during the first day: There were problems with the monitoring (i realized that my band can play *really* loud), and some band members were not ready to dive into the vibe i usually envision when being in the studio (in opposition to other styles of recording sessions where there exists a clear work book for what needs to be done).
In the end of the day I decided to scratch the day completely and look forward to an inspired, fresh session next day. And: yes, next day the band was in very good mood, and we recorded all the tunes (expect J.B.) as single takes. Then we added some solos, took some pictures: done. (Yes, I'm not a friend of doing many, many takes.)"
